Ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, is known mainly for its use as a body enhancer. According to Formeds, it supports collagen production and ensures the proper functioning of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, teeth, and skin. Its deficiency can lead to weakness and anemia. It also contributes to broken capillaries and bleeding gums. Besides, it has anti-cancer properties (it prevents colon cancer and reduces the risk of stomach and esophageal cancer) and helps maintain normal psychological functions, reduces symptoms, and supports the treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer’s or schizophrenia.
At the same time, vitamin C also reduces the feeling of fatigue and weariness. There is hardly a person whose childhood parents or grandparents did not give this vitamin, promising health. After all, no child wants to visit doctors, consuming drugs, or receiving injections. Vitamin C seemed to be a godsend for all possible problems back then!
Vitamine C in cosmetics
Vitamin C also has a positive effect on the condition of human skin. However, instead of eating it, we should apply it to our face in the form of a serum or cream. It has been proven that it protects the skin against harmful UV radiation and reduces the risk of sunburn. Ascorbic acid is also considered the secret of the youthful appearance and the most important antioxidant for the skin.
The health guide mentions the participation of vitamin C in collagen formation, the amount of which decreases with age, and which is responsible for the youthful appearance of our skin, its firmness and elasticity. It also fights skin discoloration and wrinkles while adding a youthful glow to the skin. It is also added to scrubs that firm the skin and combat stretch marks.

MIYA serum with vitamin C – ingredients and effects
Vitamin C accounts for 5% of the total. The cosmetic also includes vitamin B3 – it reduces wrinkles; vitamin B5 – smoothes and heals; inulin – improves skin condition; lactic acid – cleansing properties; bitter orange flower hydrolate, Japanese mandarin extract – beautifying, brightening and discoloration reducing properties. Moreover, 91% is a composition of natural origin.
Manufacturers assure us that the cosmetic is to strengthen our skin and reduce blood vessels’ visibility while brightening discoloration and pigmentation spots. Additionally, it should protect against the effects of pollution and delay the aging process. Mainly, however, is to improve the condition and appearance of our skin. Thanks to it, our skin should be more radiant!
MIYA serum with vitamin C – my opinion
Initially, I was sceptical about this product. I bought it spontaneously, wanting to test the magic of vitamin C on my skin, and since then use it every evening. I put them under my CBD cream (read: ‘my skincare routine’).
The serum is closed in a small (30 ml), dark bottle, and we can apply it thanks to a small pipette. Thanks to this, we will not put too much of the product on our skin. It has a light texture that gets absorbed into our skin quite quickly, although it leaves a slightly sticky layer behind. After a few days of using it, I noticed that my skin was more radiant and, more importantly – nourished.
My skin tends to dry out, and thanks to this serum, it seems to be more moisturized, which makes me return to Rossmann to buy the cosmetic as soon as I finish the bottle. Another advantage here is a beautiful, delicate, citrus scent that does not irritate me. The price, however, is quite affordable – £9. We can buy it online and in Rossmann. Ultimately, I definitely recommend it!
